These Cornwalls were being subjected to life in a teenage girl's recreation room (and the teenager's music). The grills were sagging from when a dog had releived itself on one of them. Their skin was dry and brittle, and there was a visible scar on the top of one from a potted "water torture" experience.

Now, they are loved by all who visit them, and they respond with that deep, beautiful sound they are capable of in their natural environment.
